THE S2 DEL MAR

DELIVERY, SPRING 2023

ALL ELECTRIC

0 TO 60 IN 3.1 SECONDS

This bike launches with a MSRP of $16,999. It is 80 horsepower 184 ft lb of torque, and has a recharge time of 75 minutes. I'm not pro electric but this bike is cute. I don't ride bikes for cute. The Del Mars projected city riding time is targeted at 110 miles. Its rugged design is to accommodate both street and dirt riding. Just remember if you're out riding for any length of time in the dirt to load up and take that generator with you. You'll need gas for that.

What does this have to do with Harley Davidson anyway if a company called limewire designed this in California?

Well, this bike launches in the spring of 2023. It is expected to be the number one electric motorcycle to take the US by storm. There is a lot of talk about this one. Guess where all these motorcycles will be ASSEMBLED? At the Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations in York Pennsylvania.

The company Livewire is centered in Silicon Valley, CA and also Milwaukee, WI. It is considered Harley Davidson's electric motorcycle division. However there are a few owners eating out of this pie as Harley Davidson recently created a deal making this company a publicly traded company selling ownership shares. Once Harley Davidson's electric motorcycle subsidiary, now pieces are up for grabs. Their market debut resulted in a 1.77 billion merger with what is called a blank-check firm. For a few reasons this a market risk with surging interest rates and projection vulnerability.

The new livewire design replaces the older and more expensive one. Perhaps this new design will take over electric bike market needs. Harley-Davidson has retained the majority of stake in LiveWire at 78% and will spearhead its launch in the spring. This brings Harley Davidson Equity while retaining control. Good luck with this one Harley Davidson.
